Kodachrome vs. The Crazy Man
Ah, my little scuffle with another college "comic strip", and I use the term loosely, called "Kodachrome".How best to describe this:
In my history of drawing comic strips, I have never picked a fight with any other comic artists.
During my Junior Year at TCNJ (2003), I befriended many of the college's Signal cartoonists:
- Kevin J Guhl, creator of "Hey, Professor!" and "Detective Fork"
- Pete Pizza, creator of "Loser's Lounge"
- Rita Lee, creator of "Workaholics"
- Scott Kuchinski and Jim Peterman, creators of "Nerds"
- Nathan Zyontz, creator "T.C. n' Jay"
We all got along pretty well, and if we needed to do any kind of crossover, we would get each other's permission to do so.
We had a lot of fun doing it.
However...
Towards the end of the Spring semester of 2003 at TCNJ, two "artists", again a term used loosely,
by the psuedonymes of "Monkey" and "Strawboy",
creators of "Kodachrome" decided to start a little war with my comic strip.
Their First Attempt:

Alright now... their first attempt at making fun of me.
So, from what I gather, I started my comic at the age of 2, and by then puberty hit me hard as I sporting a ponytail and goatee. Apparently, my parents were a little bit displeased with my drawings, and they then threatened to beat me.
Well, they always knew I was going to be famous, I assume that's the only thing they got right.
At first I thought it was one of my friends trying to make fun of me. Not the case.
I let it slide, thinking it was a one-shot deal, but I was wrong again:
Their Second Attempt:

Alright... now they're telling me my conscience, who they can somehow see and hear besides me,
try and convince me that my comic strip sucks.
Cheesy versions of my good and bad side to tell you the truth as I don't have a good and bad side;
I have an insanely evil side, and an indifferent side.
So, that was all they had to offer. Since they were the last strips of the semester, they pretty much did a hit and run.
To tell you the truth, I don't really care so much. In fact, their first jab at me gave me the idea of turning the cast of The Crazy Man
as little kids for the next season. Because of that, they gave me many more ideas for my comics.
I know what you'll say: "But George, it could be fan art."
I guess so if you think about it: It's their version of my comic strip and that means they read my stuff, so...
they're fans, any way you slice it.
Sorry guys, you're fans of my comic, plain and simple.
I guess I won.
